Stäubli has successfully participated at ITMA Asia 2008. Asia's largest textile machinery exhibition took place on July 27-31 in Shanghai. With a good attendance of Asian customers, the Stäubli booth once more was very popular in the weaving section. From the top floor of the 2-storey booth, visitors enjoyed the overview on Stäubli’s latest textile machinery products such as cam motions and dobby machines, electronic Jacquard machines and harnesses, weaving preparation systems with automatic warp drawing-in, leasing and tying machines. Three new developments were shown for the first time in public: The high-mounted positive cam motion S1352 particularly for water-jet weavers, the new electronic Jacquard machine LXE 1602 that weaves any kind of lighter fabrics at extremely high speeds, and the specially adapted Jacquard machine CX 180 with 192 hooks, universally adaptable to needle looms for weaving ribbons. The Stäubli Group company Schönherr carpet systems attracted visitors with its exclusive carpet samples on show. At a professionally organised conference customers have been introduced in detail to the features of the new ALPHA 400 carpet weaving machine.   The new Stäubli Group member DEIMO – first time present together with Stäubli at an ITMA –presented state-of-the-art electronic control solutions for mainly textile machinery as well as the general automation industry.
